Ruwen(Mated to the Alien #1) by Kate Rudolph

33283256Dead alien walking…

Ruwen NaNaran knows he’s a goner. The curse of his alien species has put a countdown on his life, and he’ll be dead before the month is out. Unless he finds his denya, the only woman in the universe who can save him.

Down on her luck and lost in space…

Lis Jaynx just wants to go home. Kidnapped from Earth by unknown foes, she’s dropped on a inhospitable planet with little food and no hope. She’ll do anything to find a ship to take her back to Earth, but Polai is hostile to all alien life, and Lis is running out of places to hide.

An unexpected chance…

From the moment he sees her, Ru knows Lis is his denya. But she’s already wounded and distrustful of aliens, even those who claim they want to help.

Will the explosive chemistry between them be enough to topple Lis’s fears? Or will their bond break before it even forms, leaving Ru a dead alien walking and Lis all alone in the black of space.

(Complete story, no cliffhanger!)

Ruwen is at the end of his life cycle unless he finds his mate. The chances of that are slim to nothing since his species is dying off. Then he meets Lis who is on his shuttle. Its there that he feels the bond with her. She is his mate and perhaps a chance at a future. Will she be receptive of him? Will she bond with him?

Lis is tired of the aliens and just wants to survive and possibly get home. Yet, when she meets Ruwen her thoughts change. She needs to be with him, around him, near him…just him. She agrees to leave the crappy planet they are on and give him a chance with her. Little does she know, she is his mate and she will become his.

This was a short sweet human/alien romance. I picked it up last night and couldn’t put it down. From the action to the other’s that they met, I was glued to this book. I do wish it was longer. I wanted to know more about Ruwen and Lis.

  1. read more says:

Its like you read my mind! You appear to know a lot about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you can do with some pics to drive the message home a bit, but instead of that, this is wonderful blog. A great read. I’ll definitely be back.
