Book Review – My Alien Obsession

From the moment I scent her, I have to have her underneath me.

The human female spins and runs straight into my chest.
“Oh!” she says but then she stops, frozen as she stares up at me. “Hi.”
I, too, am stopped in place.
This female is nothing like the others I have seen. She is petite, with long flowing black hair. Her features are as foreign to me as any humans, but for some reason I find her face pleasing.
Before I can think better of it, my tongue sneaks out over my lips to scent my surroundings.
But all I can smell is her.
And I’ve never scented anything so delicious in my life.
MINE.
It’s all but a convulsion that tears through my body.
What? No! No, this cannot be happening!
My denials are weak, though.
Far louder is the cry: Mine, mine, mine, mine, MINE, MINE.

Shak and Juliet, a match made in….um alienland.

Shak and his fellow Draci are coming to Earth. They are scaled, big, and have 2…um you can read it for yourself. Shak is the bastard son of the king. The new Queen, not his mom shipped him off to the military to be raised. Now he is going to Earth to find a human to mate and breed with. His intended target is lost to him when he see Juliet. MINE! It won’t be easy. Juliet has her own baggage. Shak pursues her, he eventually clears a path for them to mate. Will the Draci find breeding mates with the humans? What will Juliet think when she learns all of Shak’s secrets.

Juliet is aware of the big man, Shak. It’s hard not to be aware of someone so large and handsome. And his eyes! Oh man! She needs to keep her head, her boyfriend would freak out if he saw her talking to Shak. When push comes to shove with Robbie, Juliet leaves, only to come back home to an empty house. Yet, there is Shak in the wings waiting for her, pursuing her, wooing her. Juliet feels so safe around Shak. Could that all come crumbling down? And what the heck has he done to her?

I enjoy this book. It was a quick read that pulled you in. The ending felt rushed. All in all it’s a decent Sci-Fi/Alien Romance story.

you catch my drift. It’s not a book that will tax you to death on dumb details. This is about Shak and Juliet and the need to breed for the greater good of the Draci aliens.
