Goodbye 2019 and hello 2020! I hope this year is kinder and gentler to you. Last year just seemed rough for a lot of people, me included.
With that being said, are you going into 2020 with some reading and writing goals?
Last year I had a reading goal of 125 books, I read 146. So I met that goal easily. This year, I want to set goals for different types of books. Books that are off the beaten path, classics, new authors, indie authors, not just mainstream books and not just a number count. Does that make sense?
I plan to add a Classic book to my list of reading for 2020. As well as a banned book or 2. I want to read a book by a new to me author that people rave about. As well as a brand spanking new author. I also want to read books that are outside of genre-zone. Like a memoir or biography. I don’t think I’ve ever read one. Basically, I want to add some class and diversity to my book goals for 2020. Not just read. Have a point to the books I’m reading. Yes, I will still read and review books that interest me. I might toss in some extras here and there to see how that goes.
What are your reading goals? Now that I’ve confused you with my book goals! HA!!
I have added a #JanuaryBookChallenge on Instagram
The plan is to do a challenge once a month. I make no promises! I will do my best. If there is something you want to be added to the challenge, please reach out and let me know.
