6 Questions With…DD Prince

Questsions with....1 (1)

DD Prince!  Hi and welcome.  Thank you for answering my 6 Questions.  About a month ago I read DD’s book – Nectar.  It’s a dark romance between a vamp and his pot of gold.  Can he control himself around her?  Does she want him too?  Yes, I’ll be reading book #2 and #3 in this series.

DD Prince writes dark, dirty, and deliciously addictive romance novels with alpha antiheroes.
When you start a DD Prince book, you rarely get a quick read. Most books 400+ pages.
She loves talking about books she wrote, her favourite books (she reads A LOT), sharing eye candy, etc.
Her most popular series to date is the Dominator series, a dark mafia romance that currently consists of 3 books and 1 spin-off (Saved). On the 4th anniversary, she released a book 1.5 (novella).
1. Do your novels carry a message?
Definitely. I usually write antiheroes and sometimes they change. Sometimes, they find peace with their decisions and remain who they are at their core. My stories are all about love, but life lessons and messages tend to naturally come through, too.
2. If given the opportunity to do it all over again, would you change anything in your books?
I see my growth as a writer in my later books, but I expect I’ll see it in another few years when I look at today’s books, so I think it’s all part of the journey and I’ve tried to learn from it all. I’ll keep learning, too. I look forward to gathering wisdom along the way!
3. How do you see writing? As a hobby or a passion?
Both.  And more. It’s an outlet. It’s fun. My favourite part of the process is  The Zone, where I get to the point in writing a story that’s a lot like reading a book you just can’t put down. For me, when I get to a certain point,  I can’t wait to get back to it each morning and have to tear myself away to go to sleep. That’s my favourite part! And beyond a hobby and a passion, it’s a living, too. Writing is so many things to me. And, I’d do it for free so it’s absolutely fantastic that I get paid to do this.
4. Do you believe attractive book covers help in its sales?
Definitely. My first book was hideous. Redoing the covers kicked the sales up a notch.
5. What do you do in your free time?
Read. Plan more books 🙂
6. Are you friends with other writers?
Yes. Over the internet at least. And I’m about to attend my first signing so some of those internet friends are about to become in-regular-life friends. I’ve got a few great writing pals that help with the feelings of isolation. It’s awesome to have writer friends to bounce ideas off, to collaborate with on marketing, to commiserate with or share exciting news with.

This is the first book in a series about blood, lust, bloodlust, danger, sex, deceit, inner turmoil, love, and finding your true self.

“Between the taste of you, the taste of your blood, and the way you look at me, I haven’t felt this… alive… in… maybe ever.”

“Dimples, blue eyes, tall, dark, and movie-star beautiful? The man was almost totally constructed out of kryptonite. Almost. The fangs? Yeah, not so much…”

This book is book #1 in a trilogy and it does end on a cliffhanger.

Consumed by Sara Fields

44013481My body will burn with need. My mind will go mad with lust. Then he’ll consume my soul.

I thought I knew how to handle a man like him, but there are no men like him. Though he is a billionaire, when he desired me he did not try to buy me, and when he wanted me bared and bound he didn’t call his bodyguards. He did it himself, even as I fought him, because he could.

He told me soon I would beg him to ravage me… and I did. But it wasn’t the pain of his belt searing my naked backside that drove me to plead with him to use me so shamefully I might never stop blushing. I begged because my body knew its master, and it didn’t give me a choice.

But my body is not all he plans to claim. He wants my mind and my soul too, and he will have them. He’s going to take so much of me there will be nothing left. He’s going to consume me.

Publisher’s Note: Consumed includes spankings, rough, intense sexual scenes, and strong D/s themes. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book.

oh, I enjoyed this book.

I could not put this book down. This is what I needed after a dry spell of books! Thank you.  I’ve been in a book funk lately – the books I’ve read have been less than stellar.  I enjoyed this book due to it’s Paranormal and Dark Romance genre.  I forgot how much I love a good Dark Romance.

Kassandra meets Markos at a party. He is captivated by her and will have her. He will have her mind, body, and soul. She will beg him to take them. He ravishes her body until she is a quivering mess. Her body needs him, wants him and only him. When she is on the edge of sanity she is placed in a drug state. Even there Markos can reach her, pulling out her lust and need for him. Together they blossom and take over the world. King and Queen of a new place.

Ok, I could not put this book down. From page 1 I was hooked on Markos. We had a love-hate relationship. I loved how he treated Kassandra, but yet I hated it too. He toyed with her body and mind, taking her to the edge over and over until she would crumble at his command.

Plenty of wanton sex and chemistry/trust building between Markos and Kassandra.

This is Not Love by Nicolina Martin

42513393Love shouldn’t hurt.
Love shouldn’t come at night with a knife.

Two years after she was almost killed by her abusive boyfriend, Bree Elliot still struggles to move on, alcohol and sleeping pills her only support. She meets her soulmate, in a most unexpected way, when she’s taken hostage by Roarke in a bank robbery that goes to hell.

Roarke Brennan thought he had everything under control, but when a mysterious girl catches his attention, and a bullet nearly ends his life, he sets out on a chaotic path to destruction. Bree took everything from him. It’s time to return the favor.
Surely it’s a meeting that can only end in disaster. Or must it? If it feels like love, why can’t it be?
This Is Not Love is a dark romantic tale that takes you to the deepest pits of obsession and passion.

Warnings for abuse, blood play, dark themes and a descent into mad obsession. It’s a stand alone book with its very own version of HEA, but you don’t have to squint. I promise. Suitable for an adult audience, read at your own discretion.

This is a short story, but a deep dark story.

Bree is alive, she is existing, but that is it. She’s a scared rabbit waiting to be snatched up by a hawk. Then she crosses paths with a hawk, that wants to toy with her, not eat her. At least not right away. The hawk, Roarke, and the rabbit do a dance, trying to figure each other out. Roarke doesn’t want to kill Bree, he wants to toy with her. He wants to learn her, to figure her out and when he does, he realizes to his chagrin that she isn’t a rabbit, she is a wounded hawk trying to flap her wing and live. Only does she want to live? Or is she waiting for Roarke to finish her off?

This is a dark romance about 2 wounded people who don’t know what love is. You get a hint at their background, but not too much. Mostly you focus on the here and now of what is going on. About their interaction and their crazy love.
