A snarky fae, a sexy king, and forbidden desire deep as the sea.
Once, I was a fae princess with sea-magic at my fingertips. Now? I’m a hunted supernatural in a squalid shop, stripped of my power. My only comforts are stale cookies, Elvis records, and my hula-hoop. Until a lethally sexy fae king arrives and rips even those away.
After the brutal king throws me in prison, I strike a bargain with him: my freedom in exchange for helping him find a magic blade. What Lyr doesn’t know is that the blade might restore my stolen magic.
But as we journey, the gorgeous jerk is starting to make me feel things I’ve never felt. When Lyr touches me, desire ignites. I see raging passion in his eyes, too. If I give in, I risk losing my chance at reclaiming my power. Even worse… I could be forfeiting my life.
Aenor, ex-fae princess of the isle Ys. She was cast out for killing her own kind and her mom. For centuries she roamed until the fae assassins found her. She couldn’t getaway. They would hound her for life. When she talks to Lyr and finds out what he wants and what he needs, she isn’t eager to help unless he helps her. Can she trust him and his oath? Fae are notoriously devious. Yet something in her tells her that she can trust him. Taking a leap she goes on a self voyage while helping Lyr find a missing piece of life. What she can’t do magically would fill up a phone. Can Lyr help her find her long lost powers and her kingdom? And what about the Nameless God?
Long ago, Lyr lost part of his soul for a Queen. Her kingdom was lost. Along with her daughter, who drowned everyone and the empire. At least that the tale the knights tell around the campfire. When he meets Aenor, he learns who she is. She isn’t her mother’s daughter or her father’s daughter. She is Aenor. And someone he needs. Aenor can lead him to the end. Will she help him fight off the enemy or will she be seduced by the enemy? He needs to keep his eye on her.
Once this story got going, there was no stopping it. There was a lot of sexual tension between Aenor and Lyr. I wanted there to be more between them. I’m not sure how to say it. I wanted a witty banter. I wanted stories of old. I wanted her to remember. I guess I was asking for things that neither he or she could deliver. Their chemistry was ok, it was obvious what would happen.
Yes, I already downloaded book #2, because I need to know what happens.
