Alpha’s Prey by Renee Rose and Lee Savino

Book ReviewBENDING HER TO THE BEAR’S WILL

The human thinks I’m stalking her. Maybe I am.

But I’m not the only one.

There’s something evil in these woods and it preys on single women. I’m not about to let the sexy scientist fall into its lair.

Even if that means holding her prisoner in my cabin. Keeping her where I can see her at all times. Bending her to my bear’s will.

Just until the storm passes. Until her research is finished. Then I’ll let her go.

I swear.

Miranda is a scientist and she needs to collect some more samples, so off she goes to the research lab. While she is there a blizzard moves in and she gets stuck in the snow. Lucky for her the wildlife that lives in the area is pretty friendly. Caleb finds her and rescues her in more ways than one. When the times comes to an end, will she able to let go of Caleb?

Caleb is a mountain man. He is dead inside. Just functioning. Then he scents her. When he rescues her from the blizzard, he has to taste her. Caleb enjoys her company and her body. Her time is up on the mountain and she needs to return home. But what about that evil smell that is still lurking around? Can Caleb find out who it is?

This is a quick read. There is chemistry between Caleb and Miranda. The sub plot of the story was a little weak, which is fine. You’re not here for that story, you are here for the story of Caleb and Miranda.

Caleb has a lot of emotional baggage hanging over him.  He doesn’t know how to juggle everything.  Miranda has low self-esteem because all the male scientists she works with talk down to her.  Can they heal each other??happy (1)
